British Columbia Hikes
Garibaldi Lake
British Columbia is one of my favorite parts of the world. Try to spend a few days in Vancouver, as it's such a great city and the the hikes we talked about are near there.
This was a 13 mile round-trip hike to a place call Garibaldi Lake. It's just outside of Whistler ( which is a really cute ski village an hour and a half from Vancouver) . You can actually go beyond this lake and to a few amazing peaks like Black Tusk but that would probably be an overnight camping excursion.
Grouse Grind
The Grouse Grind is a 2.9-km (1.8-mile) ascent, with an elevation gain of 853 metres (2,800 feet).there are
2,830 steps, an average time is 1.5 hours. The official record holder has done it in 23 minutes and 48 seconds. Crazy! I think my second and fastest time was 1:15:)
It’s a bitch but when you get to the top... it’s soooo worth it!
Not to mention enjoying a guilt free meal and a cold beer with an amazing view of Vancouver and the bay.
